Hi everyone. Welcome back! My name is Adele and I am the new owner of Robert Downey Jr. Fan. Kristina was kind enough to hand the site over to me but she will still be sticking around to help when she can. I will spend the next week getting the site and gallery updated with missing pictures and maybe set up a new layout for a fresh change.
The first trailer for Robert’s upcoming movie “The Judge” has arrived some time ago which you can check out below. Robert stars opposite Robert Duvall, Vera Farmiga and Billy Bob Thornton and the movie is due for an October 10 release.
In “The Judge,” Downey stars as big city lawyer Hank Palmer, who returns to his childhood home where his estranged father, the town’s judge (Duvall), is suspected of murder. He sets out to discover the truth and along the way reconnects with the family he walked away from years before.
When recently speaking to Digital Spy, Jude Law gave a brief update on the still-unannounced sequel to Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. Although there’s still no confirmation on a third film to the franchise, it seems like there have been some promising developments — including a meeting between Law, RDJ, and Guy Ritchie.
[Jude] Law told Digital Spy: “We had a meeting earlier this year, the three of us, and I think it’s being written now. Warner Bros have still got to agree to pay for it… I think they want to!”
Producer Dan Lin confirmed earlier this year that Iron Man 3 writer Drew Pearce had been hired to work on the screenplay.
Ritchie has signed on to direct the third film, and is reportedly keen to base the production in Los Angeles.
Movie star Robert Downey Jr. came to Dedham Thursday to shoot scenes from his upcoming film The Judge, but it was his role of Tony Stark in Ironman and The Avengers that many of his fans came out to celebrate. The film crew transformed Dedham’s Superior Court, Registry of Deeds, Community House, and First Church buildings into components of a town in Crawford County, Indiana, where The Judge is set. Filming will take place in Dedham both Thursday and Friday.
Great news, RDJ fans! Marvel has released an official statement today confirming Robert Downey Jr’s involvement in future films. He’s signed deals to star in The Avengers 2 and The Avengers 3. No word on whether or not Iron Man will show up in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie or any other stand-alones, but I’m very excited that we’ll see him work alongside the mighty team twice again.
“I am Iron Man.”
Tony Stark’s famous closing line to the very first Iron Man film takes on new life today as Marvel is pleased to announce the signing of Robert Downey, Jr. to reprise the role of the “billionaire, genius, playboy, philanthropist.”
Under the two-picture agreement, Downey will star as Tony Stark/Iron Man in “Marvel’s The Avengers 2” and “Marvel’s The Avengers 3.” Downey is represented at CAA by Bryan Lourd, Jim Toth and Matt Leaf and by his attorneys Tom Hansen and Stewart Brookman of the firm Hansen Jacobson.
Downey, Jr.’s last two Marvel films, 2012’s “Marvel’s The Avengers” and this year’s “Iron Man 3,” rank as two of the top five grossing films of all time, collectively earning over $2.7 billion worldwide to date.
“Marvel’s The Avengers 2” is being written and directed by Joss Whedon. Featuring favorites from the first Avengers film and new Marvel characters never before seen on the big screen, “Marvel’s The Avengers 2” is slated to begin production in March 2014 and open in theaters May 1, 2015.
