“Tropic Thunder” was great fun. It could have gone either way with the oddball trio at the center of the cast: Ben Stiller, Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr. worked marvelously well together, especially given the colorful characters they were tasked with bringing to life. We’re fans of the movie here at MTV, so when Movies managing editor Josh Horowitz spoke with Downey at the “Iron Man 2” junket, he asked for an update on any possible “Tropic Thunder” sequel.

In short, things aren’t looking good, at least in the near-term. Who knows what the future will bring? Check out Downey’s response below.
